Te Rau Ora

Arataua undertook the re-brand and re-fresh of Te Rau Matatini to Te Rau Ora in 2018. Arataua facilitated the re-brand of Te Rau Ora by proposing a new name and new logo that reflected the organisation and the amazing mahi they do. Arataua currently manages all of Te Rau Ora’s Social Media, Communications and video assets.

Te Rau Matatini is an organisation that was established in 2002, the organisation and work that they have done has come a long way since then and felt the name and logo didn’t represent who they were anymore. After years of working with Māori, colleagues, partners, workforces in the health sector, organisations and communities to strengthen Māori health and wellbeing, we felt it was time to reposition and uplift ourselves, to realise and name what it is we are doing.

“We believe our increased standing as Te Rau Ora in reflecting a contemporary Māori image and vision of Strengthening Māori Health & Wellbeing with national and international reach - would not have been possible without Arataua. They have journeyed with us alongside our partners, communities and stakeholders in a significant rebrand and reset of our kaupapa”.

Whakaue Ora

Ngāti Whakaue is one of the paramount Iwi of Te Arawa. In March 2020, Ngāti Whakaue entities came together to form a response to Covid-19, by Ngāti Whakaue for Ngāti Whakaue. Arataua created a visual brand identity which gave birth to Whakaue Ora and have undertaken the Social Media and Communications across Facebook, Instagram and disseminating a weekly newsletter.

Supporting iwi communications and reaching Ngāti Whakaue uri (descendants).

"We engaged Arataua in March 2020 to develop a highly tailored, iwi-centric Communications Plan for our iwi COVID-19 response. Our vision was to ensure that our messaging connected with our uri in a unique and positive way, in order to support their safety and wellbeing during the pandemic.

Arataua provided both the strategic planning and the delivery of a communications plan for our iwi COVID-19 response. Arataua were highly responsive and professional in the project scoping stage, and were able to work miracles in the prompt turnaround of design content and a strategic plan. We valued the team's diverse and extensive set of media, design and communications expertise, matauranga Maori and te reo Maori expertise, and deep community insights.

Arataua's product was of superior quality and their ability to leverage their extensive talent networks to added significant value and point of difference to the impact of the campaign, and therefore engagement of our audience. Their risk management and quality assurances processes were excellent, which was an area of particular importance for us given the nature of the pandemic and how vital both the accuracy and clarity of health messaging was. We look forward to working with them in the future”.
